Terms and Conditions

CONSCIOUS EVOLUTION RETREAT

Beloved friends,
Below is a standard agreement between host and guest for the Conscious Evolution Retreat.  Those of you retreating often will find this par for the course. For those of you making the leap for the first time, please forgive the “legalese” used on this page. It is written that way simply for the sake of clarity, which serves us all!

In this agreement, you are referred to as “Guest” and Shelly Reef and Kari Prevost collectively are referred to as “Host”. "Event" refers to the Conscious Evolution Retreat that you are paying to attend.

It is the Guest’s responsibility to read and understand the cancellation and refund policies and all terms before making a reservation.

It is your responsibility as Guest to plan all travel arrangements and keep all their relevant travel documentation with them and arrive at the airport in time.  We will do our best to help coordinate travel arrangements among Guests but will not be responsible in any way for travel arrangements.  Host is not liable for travel costs under any circumstances and accepts no responsibility for the delay or cancellation of any flights, train, buses or other forms of transport.

Guest shall not use the property except as permitted and shall not use the property for any offensive, noisy, dangerous, illegal, immoral or improper purposes.

Guest shall not do anything which may be a nuisance or annoyance to other Event guests or staff.

Host retains the right to terminate a Guest's access to an Event, without refund, should said Guest not comply with the terms laid out in this agreement.

Guest must comply fully with all and any health and safety regulations introduced by Host and the facility at which the retreat is being held.  Guest must also sign the waiver required by the retreat facility.

Guest must ensure their own medical and physical fitness in order to be able to fully utilize the provided facilities and participate in activities.

Guests who have injuries or illnesses are advised to seek doctor’s advice before practicing yoga.

Host is not liable for any injuries incurred during the use of provided facilities or participation in activities. Guest must inform Host of any previous injuries, and always stop and rest when feeling any pain or sickness.

Hosts accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of personal possessions or valuables of the Guest.

Host shall not be liable for any failures beyond her control.

This covers natural disasters, war, ‘acts of God’, closure of airports, civil strife, accidents or failure to perform by third parties, including suppliers and subcontractors.

EVENT CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

If you as Guest pay using an installment plan, an initial deposit is required to hold your reservation, and this initial deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable (unless the event was cancelled by Host).

Any balance due must be received 30 days prior to the first day of the Event. Those paying less than 30 days prior to the Event must pay in full.

Cancelling reservation

We appreciate that life happens, but once HOST pays the retreat facility we are committed for the reservation in full.  Therefore, no refunds will be given.

If payment in full for a Guest’s Event reservation is not received by the due date given at the time of registration, Host reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the deposit.

Neither credit nor refunds will be granted for arriving late or leaving early.

There are no exceptions to the above cancellation policies including personal injuries or weather.

If Host cancels an event

Naturally, there is no intention or expectation to cancel or postpone the Retreat, but unexpected things do happen, so please consider applicable travel cancellation insurance once you have made your reservation.

While Host has never cancelled a destination event to date, if a booked Retreat must be cancelled for any reason, your full Retreat payment may be credited toward payment for another Event by Host in the future, or you may request a refund of your payment to Host, constituting a full settlement.
